A winter in the Alps, arranged as a private charter
Winter snow above St. Moritz in the Alps., Menkor media library.
The Alps do not open on one morning. Early in October 2026, Switzerland Tourism’s season table already shows the split. Engadin and St. Moritz list a season start of 17 October 2026. The Gstaad holiday region lists 20 November 2026. Several other areas on that same table still have no current season. A ski private jet charter is only worth arranging if the week you want is a week that mountain is actually running. Those rows are a snapshot. They belong to those resorts, and they should be read again before anyone travels.
People put Courchevel, Méribel, Lech and St Anton in the same sentence as Verbier or St Moritz. The names are enough to start a brief. This page does not give opening days for the French or Austrian resorts, because those days were not on the table we used. A Mediterranean coast in high summer is a different private jet hire entirely, and it is usually planned earlier in the year. This page is the winter one: a seasonal destination built around snow, not around a list of countries.
What the week actually needs
A winter trip is more than a flight and a key. There are skis and boots, a family that does not want to be split, sometimes two chalets that want to arrive the same afternoon and leave on Sunday when the valley road is still open. The useful question is not which aircraft looks best in a photograph. It is who is travelling, where the week sits on that resort’s own calendar, and what has to be ready when the door opens.
For a shorter hop inside Europe, a medium cabin is often the honest match. Menkor arranges medium jet hire when the party and the bags fit and the route does not call for a larger aircraft. If the group is starting much further away, the inbound is a separate problem. Long-range private jet hire covers that leg, so the ski week is not designed around a commercial connection you did not ask for.
Children change the cabin more than a seating diagram suggests. Sleep, space, and the way winter bags are loaded matter on a dark departure. The notes on flying privately with family and children are the practical place to begin. When several households share one plan, a group charter keeps them on one aircraft instead of a chain of separate bookings. None of this is a published timetable. The hour you leave is part of the brief, and it can move if the mountain, the weather, or a late dinner says it should.
An empty leg, only when it fits
An empty-leg sector sometimes lines up with a ski weekend, and often it does not. Menkor lists empty-leg flights as they appear. Treat one as an occasional fit for this seasonal destination, not as a winter schedule you can hold a chalet deposit against. If the date is fixed by a school holiday, or by a resort that has only just published its start, say that at the beginning. A luxury private jet that cannot travel on the day you need is not a saving. It is a different trip.
We will not tell you how long the road from the aircraft to the lift will take. That depends on the valley, the snow, and the hour, and it is not a number this page is willing to invent. We will also not pretend a French resort opens on the same morning as St Moritz. The only dates in this article are the Switzerland Tourism rows cited above.
The part you should not have to run
Menkor arranges the charter. It does not operate the flight as an airline. What you hand over is the brief: the resorts, the names, the days that can move and the days that cannot. From that, the aircraft is matched to the party and the route, ground handling is coordinated so the bags and the cars are not a second project, and the timing stays flexible when a forecast changes the plan. You are there to ski. The logistics stay with the people arranging the private jet charter.
Ask for a quote
Send the resorts, the size of the party, and the week you have in mind. If a date on this page has moved by the time you write, the quote should follow the resort, not the article. Request a quote from Menkor and the reply will be the aircraft and the shape of the trip. there is no price here, because a winter charter is priced on the actual brief.
